art students before a final is due
aww yeah I’m so excited / happy to finally be sharing these with you all :)
this is my final project for my lighting class this semester, and I took the opportunity to visually explore invisible illness, which was much more challenging than I at first thought it would be.
I’m pretty happy with these, not 100%… I’m definitely planning on shooting more and adding to / editing the series as I go, so let me know what you think!
these are fucking awesome. A W E S O M E
VERO I THINK YOU’D APPRECIATE THESE, TOO.
people who don’t have to (via sfux)
if you have multiple minumum wage jobs and split all of your bills with someone else and generally have to work over time and have no time to do anything other than work and sleep in the bed you work all of those hours to be able to sleep in and do nothing else with your life, yes, you CAN live on minimum wage by running yourself into the ground and essentially running in a circle backwards for a living. /rant
Flying to Chicago on the 26th, then going and seeing some of Lo’s friends and family that night and the morning of the 27th before we drive his car back here to move in! 18 hour drive, and that’s if we don’t stop. I AM SO EXCITED. SO. FREAKING. EXCITED. I have about 2/3 of my packing done, aside from stuff I need to use currently and things that I can’t really “pack” but just load into the car when the time comes.
Our apartment is so nice, it was just redone two years ago and only one couple has lived there since it was redone. They’ve kept everything in great condition. It has high ceilings and a big bay window in the living room. Everything being redone means everything is also as energy efficient as it can be. I think we got really lucky with this. I can’t wait to have our space. Our kitchen and our living room and our bed and our everything. I bought his and hers bath floofs the other day, and tacky vintage dishes. I can’t wait to find the perfect floral table clothes to put on the vintage wood table I’m going to put in the ‘dining’ area of the living room. We don’t have a TON of space (especially not a ton of storage space) but I think it’ll be much more than enough for the two of us and Pook.
I’m going to end up picking up a second job and a friend who used to be a regular at the bakery, who is a fabulous reference to have, is going to help Lo find a (hopefully full time) job. Either way we’ll get by, we have enough saved to cover us for a good while, even if somehow we were both jobless. I CAN ABSOLUTELY NOT WAIT, THIS IS ALL GOING TO BE SO WORTH IT.
I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to have found a man who is willing to move almost half way across the country to be with me, and he’s been right in front of me face for years. I’m sure a lot of people who don’t REALLY know the situation think we might be rushing this, but when we each have to take 3-4 days off work and pay for travel to see each other for one long weekend a month, it comes down to ‘go big or go home’ pretty quickly. We’re definitely going big with this one.
